So I know this guy in one of my classes this semester at college. He was always kind of a quiet guy and kept to himself for the most part. I noticed that he would always wear clothing from an anti-suicide advocacy group, and I always kinda worried about the guy. He never really looks happy, and when i see him around campus he's usually alone, and it worries me that he might not be ok,or that he might end up hurting himself... I barely know the guy, just basically his name, but my question is: would it be totally absurd to just tell someone that you care about them, and if they needed someone to talk to, that you'd be there for them? I'm a bit nervous that i'm just making assumptions and i hate that... but at the same time, I feel like i'd rather tell him and be wrong, than say nothing and be right..

Suggestions for where to buy furniture?

Hi all, I need to pick up some furniture for grad school in August. I already have bedroom furniture, but my roommate in college already had kitchen and living room furniture there when I moved in. I'd like a couch/futon (I say futon because I'm on a budget and they tend to be cheaper than just a regular couch, and as long as it's clean and relatively comfy I'm not high maintenance), a coffee table, maybe a new TV stand, and a small kitchen table with 2-4 chairs (my apartment doesn't really have a place to put a regular-sized kitchen or dining room table). A lot of Ikea's stuff is a bit too modern for my tastes. I've checked out Pier 1 and like some of their tables, so I'm wondering if anybody else has some suggestions along those lines--something that's going to give a more classic look (keeping in mind that my wallet is that of a grad student, not a Wall Street banker ;)). I've heard flea markets, etc are good places to look, but truth be told I hate shopping, so I'd kind of prefer a chain store that will be easier to shop. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

My husban has a large rump. Especially for his small body (he is 5'4". Voted smallest Youth Minister in Maine 2009). He has what looks like a large 'black girl booty'. His chest is 29" size even with that large of a rear. How to change guardianship from a rapist to me?

Guardianship is very different from Custody. Guardianship is granted by whatever parent has them "willingly" and through some legal system, tho not always via courts, but any regular flunky attorney can witness it and document it in most all states. If you want custody "temporary or permanent" you have to go through channels. You first apply for "temporary custody and generally is to your advantage to get who ever has them now to willingly give you guardianship or temporary custody The "temporary" part, helps comfort them into thinking they can have them back later if they want to (not necessarily) but even temporary custody means you have a little more legal clout to keep them from getting their kids back via the courts should they decide to fight you on the issue one day. Unfortunately , even rapists have rights but i'd still try to befriend the father and try to take the kids off his hands for a while ploy so you don't wind up spending 20,000 in court and attorney fees fighting him for the kids. Once you've had them for a year, you can sneak in and apply for temporary custody and later for permanent custody as more time goes by. If he won't give them up then its very expensive to go thru the court system even if he is a rapist. He's the only blood relative they have left and courts always rule with the parent "unless" they see the children appear to be raped, they turn a blind eye to what he does to others outside the home. that's the judicial process for you, all bunk. Just letting you be prepared for what is ahead of you. So kissing his back side for a while and offering to take in the kids for him for a while, works way better in the long run. this gives you leverage with the kids. if he calls, say the kids are fine, or they are doing well in school or whatever it takes to keep him from wanting them back at all. Demand no child support, and he will probably jump at the chance to unload the kids on you. But you need documentation on more than a slip of paper he writes out on notebook paper, because if they need medical care, no doctor will touch them without a "legal guardian" or parents signature. You can't enter them in public school or place them in a day care without "official" paperwork. Guardianship is easily obtained if the parent is willing and a lawyer can whip up a document in minutes and no court is required, he signs infront of a notary at the lawyers office and your done. If no other parent or family member comes forward over the year to contest to your guardianship, then you are well on your way to a more permanent custody of the children as long as you do not harm them in anyway either. poor kids are being passed around like basketballs, I imagine they are very traumatized by their life so far. Can you offer stability, the kind all kids should have and i don't mean money, i mean be the strong stable person all children deserve but few get? just something to ponder. when one family member is in prison, normally the rest of the siblings from the same family that produced that sister aren't much better than the one in prison either. My family stank. My dad drank, my sister and both brothers drink like fish and do drugs. I don't know what happened to me. I work for a living, have never had a traffic ticket. Though my undergraduate career was one of high achievement, but LSAT was not. So, I was granted admission to a mediocre private law school (Ohio Northern University). ONU offers a JD/LLM program with great externship opportunities, but is obviously not one of the top ranked schools. Basically, I'm trying to figure out what path I should take to obtain the career I want. Will a law degree from this school make me competitive in this type of work? Is the obscene amount of debt worth it? Is there another route that I should explore? I would really, really appreciate any and all feedback. There are 2 air pumps, and I wi admit, it might be a little over stocked or just on the edge of being overstocked. I'm working on getting rid of some of my fish and in a few weeks, i will be buying my friends 75 gal and setting it up As soon as I sell the lizard that he has. Question for being accepted into college from a private high school?

I'm entering into my junior year of high school in the fall and I felt like it was time that I start preparing for the future. A lot of my classmates are obsessed with obtaining a GPA of at least a 4.0. I know that it will be extremely difficult to compete with them on a level where I can graduate in the top tenth of my class. I have a GPA of 3.80 with two honors classes. Next year, I will be taking Honors Pre-Calculus and AP Chem and a couple of other honors courses. Senior year AP Calculus and AP Bio. I'm looking at eventually doing Pharmaceutical and something in the medical field and I'm not sure what to do. It is important to me that I can get a scholarship, but still attend a top school. What it really matter if I graduate top tenth or quarter of my class? I'm almost positive that I'm in the top third. Say there are 70 students in my class, would a college really care about how I stand amongst my piers? I can very well see my GPA going to 3.85+ in the next year but I'm not sure if it's guaranteed. I have less than 60 community service hours, but I'm very good at sports (including soccer and basketball). How much different is it to get into a college from a private high school than a public one? Any help is appreciated!

Has anyone done a Spanish immersion program in Ecuador?

I will be a college graduate from San Diego State University in May and was planning to spend 4-5 months in a Spanish speaking country in Latin America right after graduation. Since 'im looking into programs where i would have to pay, I was also looking to get some volunteer/internship work while also learning the language. I plan on getting into the non-profit sector doing advocacy work in the States when I come back and learning Spanish is of great importance to me! If anyone can recommend a good program that would be outstanding! thanks!

I'd provide a free, safe place for kids to hang out after schools. I'd collaborate with local public schools and teachers to help kids that are slow for their level or that would benefit from extra, intense, one-on-one/two tutoring. It'd be a structured environment--certain time to do homework, play, and hang out. They'd earn points for doing certain things and there would a an end-of-the-week/month fun day for those who earn enough points.

Changing from DS to DS resets the Game Sync so you have to wait ANOTHER 24 hours when you change it. The same things happened to me. I suggest resetting it and I time you know like 6 pm, then try the next day at 6:10 just in case you were a little to early. I've been on once but I can't get back again.

First of all check all of your settings and make sure every single Wireless connection is shown. This should quite easily be found in your iPod Settings section. If this doesn't work it is possible that your router is too strong and needs a fair distance before a signal can be read from the iPod. This is unlikely however and should be a problem to do with your settings either on your iPod or on the router itself.

WIRELESS INTERNET CONNECTION PROBLEM?

I am surprised that D-Link couldn't solve the problem as I found D-Link one of the more user friendly routers to program? Asume your drivers are correct etc, and the router is connected : internet>modem>router>PC's either ethernet or wireless or a comination. you have configured the Wi-Fi menu in the router to a name and encrypt and password protect it, to avoid unwanted users. Then you need to open your network center, search for you named signal >connect>enter the password> set it to connect automatically, voila? To access you router you need the IP address, can be 192.168.0.1, or 192.168.1.1 or check with you ISP? laptop can connect 3 ways to the internet, ethernet, wireless from a home internet or a USB dongle,on a packet or pre paid. D-Link router that I have came with a wizard connect CD and a manual. I assume thatis the wireless driver for the Acer laptop downloaded from Acer website? So is the problem at the browser, which may be a firewall issue? You can always do a factory resetwith a paperclip in hole next to power plug and reconfigure, this resets all passwords as well. once configured just give it a powr refresh, unplug from power for 30 seconds then plug bac in and let it cycle up. As Computers need a restart to complete update so does hardware, for changes to take effect, and I power refresh my router and modem once a week,as they can get into a bind? Keeps them fresh and fast.
