How can i sync my ipad?

I am at my grandfathers house and have a 10h flight ahead of me. i'd like to download a movie on the ipad, but there are no wi fi hotspots. therefore, id like to use my grandfathers PC to download the movie. how can i sync my ipad with the PC without removing all the content from the ipad?
