Is there any way possible for me to connect to wi-fi on a DS game using a 3DS?

My DS Lite can't connect to my router because the router uses whichever type of encryption that the DS doesn't support, and I own a Nintendo wi-fi USB connector that seems to be broken. However, I recently got a 3DS, which has no trouble connecting to wi-fi via my router. I wanted to know if it is any way possible to connect to wi-fi on a DS game (e.g. Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon) using my 3DS, and if not, if anyone has any suggestions as to how I could connect to wi-fi on my DS games.
