Help fix my wi-fi on my ipod touch?

After I sync'd my ipod touch the wi-fi stopped working. I tried resetting the network and stuff and check the internet user and password.... They seem to be correct but when I go in Safari it says " Safari cannot open page" or When I go on internet app it says "error! The internet connection appears to be offline" . I'm for-sure that the internet info is correct. Please Help Me!!!!!!
