Why would I ever use the Wi-Fi function on my new phone, if I have an unlimited 4G data plan?

If you're in a bad area, I guess. I think they leave the option there for convenience, just in case. It also might leave it for if you want to save battery, so you use Wi-Fi instead of 4G.
