Why can't I get the android mail app to download for my HTC tablet?

I have two HTC tablets, the Wi-Fi only Flyer and the Sprint version HTC View 4G and I can't get the mail app to download on either. I love the app on my EVO 4G phone and would like it to work on my other devices. Since I have four ATT/Yahoo mail accounts the other mobile version is a non-starter.
