Affirming diversity? need help with assignment..?

You're supposed to come up with 3-5 ideas for things that will increase understanding in your community. What are the diversity issues in your area? For example, you could start a campaign at your school to have all the students bake cookies and take them to neighbors of different ethnic groups. Or you could organize an international day at your school, with performances by students based on their nationalities and ethnicities, food, poster displays, etc.
